Baselayers & Thermals

Baselayers are essential to a day in the hills or mountains. They allow all your insulation and shell clothing to do its job and breathe. At some point, quite a few of us make the mistake of putting on cotton underwear and a regular cotton t-shirt under our outer shell or midlayers In truth a good baselayer wicks moisture from your skin and send it on the journey out through your layering system of breathable fabric technologies such as Gore-Tex, or Polartec® Alpha. Not all base layers are thermals, but you should always be wearing some, at Outdoor Clothing we have a fantastic mix of summer and winter baselayers so you can be at the optimal temperature year-round.
